Final Newsletter 2023
Principal Update
As the year comes to an end, I want to take a moment to thank everyone for what I would describe as a highly succesful and enjoyable 2023 school year.
To the parents, guardians, and families, thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of educating and nurturing your children. Your support and partnership have been invaluable. We've worked together to create a supportive environment where our students can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.
To all our students, I want to take a moment to express pass on the biggest thanks to each and every one of you. Your hard work, enthusiasm, and dedication have made this school year absolutely fantastic. I am immensely proud of the progress you've made, both academically and personally. Thank you for your efforts, your smiles, and all your fantastic attitude towards school. Wishing you all a well-deserved break and looking forward to another fantastic year ahead!
To our Year 6 students, you have brought so much joy, energy, and enthusiasm to our school community. You really are a fantastic group of students. We have witnessed your growth, your achievements, and your friendships, and it has been an absolute pleasure to be a part of your journey. Thanks for being such an integral part of Mudgee PS's history. I wish you all the success, happiness, and fulfillment in the exciting journey that lies ahead. Farewell, and may your future be as bright as the smiles you brought to us all each and every day.
Finally, a massive shoutout to our brilliant staff. Teachers, SLSOs, and all the behind-the-scenes heroes who make our school the best place to learn and grow, thank you for your hard work and dedication! You are all inspiring people, and not only do I feel extremely lucky to call you all my colleague, I also appreciate all the fun, the learning, the positivity and most importantly, the care you bring for our students each and every day.
Hope you all have a lovely break spent with family and friends. Thanks for the year and a big Merry Christmas to you all.
Farewell to two incredible staff members
Farewell to these wonderful staff members. While it is sad to see them leave our beautiful school, we are so grateful to have had them here over the years. Best wishes to Mrs Liddle and Mrs Baker on their next adventures!!
2024 Classes
A note went home on Friday to all students who were at school outlining their 2024 classroom teacher.
We have been working incredibly hard to ensure we have the best possible balance of dynamics in each class from an academic and social perspective. We try and consider which students will work well with different teachers and the student friendships that have been formed. Next year we will hopefully operate with 21 mainstream classes, even though our numbers entitle us to 20 mainstream classes. We will use school funds to make this class operational and hopefully there aren't too many changes that affect this come the beginning of the school year.
Below is a table outlining teachers for 2024 classes.
School Supplies 2024
Just a reminder that for the last couple of years, all basic stationery will be provided by the school, so there is no need to go out and buy a whole heap of books and supplies for the classroom. Students in Years 1-6 who wish to purchase their own pencil case with own textas, glue sticks, etc are welcome to do so, but please know everything that is need for school will be provided by the school. That's what public education is all about!
Dates for 2024
Please see below key dates for starting in 2024. Please note the dates the uniform shop is open in the holidays.
Note: Students Year 1-6 return Thursday 1 February.
Kindergarten start Tuesday 6 February.
The office is open Monday 18 December and until 12pm Tuesday 19 December. It will then re-open on Tuesday 30 January.
If you need to get in touch over the holidays, the best way is to send an email and we will respond when we return to school. The Facebook messenger service is not monitored over the holidays.
Wishing you all a fabulous break and a very Happy Christmas.
