SCHOOL NEWSLETTER Welcome to Term 4
Principal's Report
Welcome back to Term 4! I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable holiday break, recharged and ready for an exciting term ahead at Mudgee Public School. We've got so many wonderful things planned, and I can't wait to dive into all the activities and events with you!
We're thrilled to kick off the term with a very special combined Grandparents Day and Pink Up Mudgee celebration on Monday, 28th October. Starting at 10:45 am, grandparents are invited to join their grandchildren in classrooms for a fun-filled morning of activities like singing, stories, and puzzles. Afterward, we’ll gather for a Pink Up Picnic on the school grounds, so bring your picnic rugs and some snacks for a relaxed and joyful time together. There will also be delicious pink treats prepared by our SRC available for purchase. Let’s make this a memorable day for our grandparents and show our support for a very important community fundraiser.
SRC FUNDRAISER: Exciting news! The SRC is running a furniture sale on Sunday, 27th October. All proceeds will go towards keeping costs down for the Year 6 Farewell, so we encourage the community to support this wonderful initiative.
Term 4 is set for some really exciting excursions and adventures. Our Year 3 students will be off to Dunns Swamp in Week 2, while Year 4 is looking forward to their overnight adventure to the Blue Mountains in Week 4. Later in the term, Year 5 will attend their camp at Broken Bay, and we’ll round things off with Swim School towards the end of the term for Year 2 and support unit students.
Don’t forget that the Mudgee Beginners School Readiness Program for Kindergarten students for 2025 starts in Week 3, with registrations open today from 4pm for the 5-week program. To register, visit Mudgee Beginners 2024 Registration.

One of the things I was most proud of in Term 3 was our student's improvements in student attendance! Let’s keep up the great effort, as we don’t want anyone to miss out on the awesome things happening at Mudgee PS this term. The challenge is on—let’s continue showing up and making the most of every opportunity.
Upcoming Events: See below the info-graphic which maps out all the events over the next few weeks of school.
Here’s to a fantastic Term 4 filled with learning, fun, and lots of opportunities to connect with parents and community. Have a great start to the term.
