SCHOOL STAFFING UPDATE
School Staffing Update
I hope this finds you well. We are working hard here at Mudgee PS as we quickly approach the end of the year. I write to inform you of a few staffing changes for 2025.
Relieving Deputy Principal 2025: I am pleased to announce that Danielle George will continue to relieve in our above establishment Deputy Principal position. Danielle has done a remarkable job in supporting students, staff and our community in her vast and varied role.
Relieving AP 2025: As a result of Danielle's appointment as DP, this leaves a relieving Assistant Principal vacancy. I am pleased to announce that following our internal processes, Lisa Caligari has been appointed as the relieving Assistant Principal for Early Stage 1 for the upcoming year. Lisa will continue to work with our Kindy team, which will provide excellent continuity for her stage in ensuring our littlest students have the best possible start to school
Mr and Mrs Smith: This one comes with real mixed emotions. A huge congratulations to Steve and Laura Smith who are heading off to Gundagai next year. Steve has been appointed through a service transfer to Gundagai South Public School. Steve joined our school in 2014 and his given 11 years of absolutely selfless service to the Mudgee PS community. I cant begin to describe the immeasurable impact he has had on the students and families of Mudgee PS, not to mention us as a staff. Laura, who is currently on maternity leave, has also worked here at Mudgee PS filling many roles from SLSO to chaplain and within those roles has worked incredibly closely with so many kids. She has been the smiling face of Kindergarten, the ear to many and the supporter of all. I have so many words and thoughts to share with you all about Steve and Laura and to be honest, written communication will not do this justice. Ill have to save this for when we gather in person closer to the end of the year. Our loss is definitely Gundagai South's gain.
Mrs Barnett: Additionally, I would like to inform you that Alice Barnett has successfully applied for a temporary position at Gulgong Public School, securing a one-year contract. In 2025, we will have less temporary positions available for staff; and I encouraged all temporary staff to consider securing work for them and their family. Alice took this initiative to secure work, not because she doesn't love Mudgee PS. Alice has been a tremendous asset to Mudgee Public School and truly feels like part of our family. Beyond her classroom, Alice's contributions, particularly in initiatives such as the CLC Film Festival over the years, and her involvement with our Environmental Group, are just a couple of the many things we will miss about Alice. I will share more insights and gratitude about Alice as the year draws closer to the end.
WHIN - Melissa Cox: We have been fortunate enough to have the services of Melissa Cox in the position of Wellbeing Health Inreach Nurse (WHIN). Melissa has now secured a job with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). We are awaiting news as to who will act in our WHIN role whilst the substantive holder of this position (Anna Robards) is on secondment. I'd like to thank Melissa for all her amazing work. Her role has had a profound impact on our students and families, providing essential support and resources that created a safer and healthier school environment. We wish her all the best in her new position with CAMHS.
Please join me in congratulating all of these amazing Mudgee PS Staff Members.
