Welcome Back: Welcome back to you all for Term 3. Who can believe we are halfway through the 2025 school year? I am super proud of the progress we have made from the beginning of this year and look forward to continuing on with all the amazing work in Semester 2.
In the holidays we have had some amazing work done on our support unit playground. At the beginning of the school year, you may remember me reporting two full days of gardening carried out to tidy the place up. From there, I submitted again to the DoE around the state of the concrete, and I am so pleased to announce the department have replaced this area with beautiful soft-fall and astro turf. This area now looks incredibly vibrant and spacious. A big thank you to the Department of Education. Our students deserve the best and this is a step in the right direction.
NAIDOC Week: I just wanted to make a quick comment on how incredibly proud I am of our NAIDOC week celebrations and art show we hosted at the end of the last term. A huge thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us, not only the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, but also the amazing work our students completed. It was lovely sharing a sausage sandwich and a yarn with everyone, and the hall still looks simply amazing. A huge thanks to Ms Roberts and Mrs Meers for their work leading the Aboriginal Education team as well as all the staff who contributed to the day. Well done.

A huge congratulations to Purple, our overall Attendance Bingo Champions, rewarded with a delicious serve of hot chips and pizzas. Well done also to Koalas, Bradfield, Manly Magpies, Berry, Orange, Hollows and Echidnas, who scored 4 in a row and enjoyed a tasty treat as their prize!
This is a friendly reminder that attendance matters, every single day! Consistent school attendance plays a vital role in your child’s academic progress, social development, emotional wellbeing, and relationship building. We’re so proud of the efforts made already in 2025 and can’t wait to roll out some exciting new initiatives to keep the momentum going! Remember, every day counts, if you’re not here, you’re missing out!
