P&C Meeting
I would like to open this newsletter by drawing to your attention our P&C meeting on Monday night which will be in the library at 7pm. I would like to encourage the attendance of new faces and returning ones as we discuss the year that was and plan forward for 2022. Our meetings are friendly, short and succinct and the school will provide some catering. Come along and lets work together for the students at Mudgee Public School. There is a zoom option available for those who cannot make it in person. https://au01web.zoom.us/meeting/register/u5Ard-6tqz4tHNQtBdM02nPAzKBMysJx-p1c
Communication from the Classroom to Parents
We are looking to review the communication from classroom to the parents. At the moment we are using the PLN email system and would like your feedback to see if we can improve that communication to you. Could you please lend 1-2 minutes of your time to complete this short 5 question survey to help us make sure we get it right!
Mudgee Beginners are now Ready for Big School

2022 Student Leadership
Year 5 students are in the process of nominating who they would like to see stand as one of our captains or vice-captains in 2022. On Monday they will vote and shorten the field to select their nominees. These students will then have a week or so to prepare their speech which they will present to the school in Week 9. I would like to wish all our Year 5 students the best as they work through this process.
The Fathering Project
A new community connection initiative on the horizon at Mudgee Public School is our work with the Fathering Project. We hope to launch this initiative next year when hopefully we can have more parents on site. The Fathering Project recognises the importance of school partnerships with families, and research shows that by specifically targeting fathers and father figures, schools will see significant additional benefits for children and the whole school community.
In the meantime, I encourage dads to join our Mudgee Public School Dads Group... More information to come! thefatheringproject.org/sign-up/

Overdue books - Please check your shelves for any overdue books that belong to the school. These need to be returned in the next few weeks before our annual stocktake occurs.
Book Club - Last orders are due on Monday 22nd November. This is the last Book Club for the year. Please remember to select the 'Gift' box when ordering if you don't want me to send the orders to the students. No late orders can be accepted. Thanks for your support of the school Library through the purchasing of books from Book Club.
Happy Reading!

From The Office
Messages for students - If you need to collect your child early from school please:
- Send a written note in the morning with your child to the class teacher so the student can be in the office at the designated time you request. Alternatively, call the office to make arrangements for collection and the office staff will then coordinate a message to staff and arrange departure for students.
- Students must always depart from the front office. Please call the office to notify the staff of your arrival and a friendly staff member will escort the child/children to parent/carers waiting at the front gate.
- Change of after school routine messages should be phoned through by 2PM to ensure messages are delivered to students before bell time.
Lost Property - Is your child missing their school hat, jumper, lunch box etc? Let your class teacher know and the student can be shown where the lost property articles are kept to have a look. Please label all items so they can be returned when found.
Are you leaving MPS? - Just a reminder that if your child is leaving our school at the end of the year, and not returning in 2022 (excluding Year 6 students of course) can you please let the office know ASAP.
Change of contact details - Please contact the school office if you have a change in the following student details - Address, Phone number, Emergency contact details or Health care plans. It is important that the school has up to date details especially in the case of an emergency.
Year 3 Play
Mrs Belle Moylan (Teacher)
This term in Year 3 Covid ILSP we have been busy working hard on our sounds, reading, sentence structure, punctuation, number recognition, place value, money, adding, and subtracting! The 3C Group have also been practicing and planning a play called Peter and the Wolf to show the rest of their class at the end of the year. It’s been such a fun project! They almost know all of their lines, brainstorming props and costumes, and have been working hard channeling their characters ready for their performance! I'm so proud of how dedicated all the year 3 students have been during our time together. They are really taking responsibility for their learning by always being positive, and ready to learn.
Thank you Year 3, it’s been a real pleasure working with you all!
3C - Lily Kenny, Kandice Martin, Abigail Cooper, Violet Healey, Shannon Devenish
