Principal's Report
Athletics and Cross Country
What a wonderful week of physical activity this week. We had our athletics carnival on Tuesday, Jump Rope for Heart Wednesday and K-2 Cross Country on Thursday. The thing that impressed me the most was everyone's willingness to have a go and give it their best. Congratulations students!

Jump Rope for Heart Jump Off
Wow!!!!! I can believe it, but I also can't! Did you know we raised $13782 for the Heart Foundation through Jump Rope for Heart? What an amazing effort. I am so incredibly proud of our school community pulling together for such a great cause. A big thank you to Mrs McRae who is the driving passion behind this initiative. See some pictures below from our Jump Off Day on Wednesday.

Kindergareten 2023: Jolly Gym Registrations & Out of Area Enrolments
Jolly Gym: registrations are now open! Jolly Gym is one hour of supervised fun, involving outdoor games and activities once a week for 6 weeks. It is a great opportunity for future MPS students to become familiar with the school environment. Jolly Gym commences on Tuesday 26th July OR Thursday 28th July 2022. More information will be emailed before the first session. CLICK BELOW TO REGISTER
Out of area enrolments are techinically due by the end of this term. If you live outside the Mudgee catchment area, it is an expectation that you attend your local school unless there are extenuating circumstances. We do hope that you have spoken to your local school before you consider applying to see if they can meet your child's needs. Out of area enrolments can be submitted online or via a form in the office. If you have any questions about this, contact the front office or ask to speak with Donna O'Hara, one of our deputy principals who leads our out of area enrolment panel.

5/6E Arts Precinct
During visual art lessons this term, 5/6E have investigated surrealist art forms and artists, including works by Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte. To complement this unit of work, the students visited the Mudgee Arts Precinct to enjoy the current exhibition - ‘A Brief History of Mudgee’ by Michael Bourke. The students were highly engaged in the viewing today, and loved the quirkiness in each of the paintings. A particular highlight was the opportunity to speak with Michael about the artworks, and the students had lots of great questions and comments to make.
