Welcome back to all. I hope you were able to enjoy some quality family time during the holidays with your loved ones. This term looks like another busy one, with excursions, sporting events, public speaking, Mudgee Beginners, not to mention all the usual end of year activities.
This week we have celebrated the positive behaviour of many students with our Term 3, PBL Assembly (photos below). We are again hosting Chatswood HS band, who are kindly providing a workshop for our band members. The PSSA boys cricket team are off to Orange with Mr Harris on Wednesday, good luck boys. The Year 4 students are heading to the Blue Mountains for their annual excursion. What an exciting start to the term!
Flavours Of Mudgee
Flavours of Mudgee was hosted on Saturday 23rd of September. Mudgee Public School showcased their community spirit, selling goodie bags to locals and tourists. It was a wonderful opportunity for our MPS staff and P and C to mingle with the local community and travelling guests and share in such a spectacular Mudgee event. With the help of our phenomenal P and C and students, we put together goodie bags of the yummiest treats and 480 bags were sold on the day. Thank you to all the staff, students and parent community for your support in coordinating such a wonderful opportunity for Mudgee Public School.
Pink Up Mudgee
On Friday 27th October, Mudgee Public school will be raising money for 'The McGrath Foundation' through Pink Up Mudgee. Students are encouraged to wear pink clothes and/or accessories and donate a gold coin to this very worthy charity. There will be an array of pink treats for sale on the day, including; pink lolly bags, pink jelly cups, raspberry spiders and raspberry cordial slushies. Thank you for your support.
Grandparents Day
NSW Grandparents Day celebrates the diversity of grandparent relationships across age groups, cultural backgrounds, and geographical locations.Grandparents, grand-friends, kin, and those who take on the role of a grandparent in their family or community are recognised for their contributions.
This year to celebrate our MPS grandparents we invite you to come along and visit your grandchildren’s classrooms and share lunch with them in our beautiful school.Following lunch, our Year 6 are hosting a Colour Run FUNdriaser, for those grandparents who dare, join in the fun, or watch your little people have the time of their life.
Join us on Friday 3rdNovember from 12:30pm, we look forward to celebrating all of our Mudgee Public School Grandparents.
Colour Run
Mudgee Public School Year 6 students are hosting a Colour Run FUNdraiser on Friday 3rd November from 1:45pm. This event is to support our Year 6 students in raising funds to purchase a gift for MPS on behalf of the class of 2023.
ALL MPS students are invited to participate in this fun-filled event, we ask that students bring a gold coin donation to run on the day. There will be YUMMY treats for sale from $2, including snow cones and fairy floss.
Please pack your child a spare change of clothes for them to run in on the day. MPS family and friends are invited to watch their children have the time of their life, soaking up the colours of the rainbow.
Selective High School Entry 2025
Selective High School applications for Year 7, 2025 (current Year 5 students) are now open, closing on 20 November, 2023. Selective High Schools cater for high potential and gifted students. Vision Screening -Year 1 and Year 6
We are very fortunate to have the Lions Club offer free Vision Screening to all Year 1 and Year 6 students over the next 3 Wednesdays. If you have a student in Year 1 or Year 6 and you would like them to particpate in the free vision screen and have not returned the permission note, please return the note to your child's teacher asap.
Tell Them From Me Survey
Parents, guardians and caregivers are invited to take 10 to 15 minutes to participate in theTell Them From Meparent survey. The survey will help us understand your perspectives on your child’s school experience and will be used to make practical improvements to our school.

A parent letter was sent home with students at the end of Term 3 that included a 'Access Key' for signing in to the Sentral for Parents Portal & App. More information is included within the letter, however, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact the school office.

It is important that the school have correct student contact details incase of an emergency, including residential address, parent/carer email, phone numbers and any additional emergency contacts.
